Get out of your comfort zone
Numerous times in our life we have heard this sentence : You need to get out of your comfort zone, to be stronger, face new challenges that will make you even better". Well, despite the fact that is kinda true, i would like with this post to answer some questions that probably you also have whenever you hear this phrase.
Why do i even need to get out of my security zone, be thrown in the jungle with the lions in order to get stronger?
When you are being exposed in external factors while you lack your strengths, you are most likely to not give up. Let me rephrase, if you are thrown in the sea, no matter what happens, you will swim for your life. Therefore the whole idea of the comfort zone and why we should get out of it, times to times is actually true. Seeking new opportunities to prove your stamina, your endurance and challenging yourself is a way of searching the perfection, no matter if you will get to that, just by forcing yourself you are already better that you where yesterday and that matters.
How is this gonna evaluate my strength and my capabilities, meaning that, if I get to lose my powers that with grinding I got, fighting without them is like getting to the point 0, where I started, right ?
The zone out of where you feel secure and safe doesn’t need to be 100% left behind when you are about to face new difficulties or you want to get to know the limits or yourself, but getting a step further each time. Just changing your habits a little by little in a daily basis and trying to learn new things, adapt in situations sometimes without seeking for help, is also a good practice of copping with your limitations. The phrase that we analyse has mostly a metaphorical meaning and focuses on the mental power. Remember, is all about consistency, Rome wasn’t built over a night 😉.
No human being is perfect or has been made like that, but is in our hands to chase perfection and our version of tomorrow to be better of our yesterday’s version.
