Do you use your phone, Or you are being used by it?
Growing up in a technological area where every move has to be done through a smartphone, is worth wondering if there even exists today the meaning of "security".
Not long time ago, when the idea of owning and over using a mobile phone would look like something extraordinary, unsual, terrifying and for sure scary, the population was being told that a new way of living would become a trend in the coming years and that every human being could utilise these "smart" phones with an ease. Nobody thought that actually the first iphone which Steve Jobs presented that day would change the world in a similar way that facebook captivated the interest of the people. Keeping a powerful computer machine into your hands, small as a wallet was the begining of the end, not so much as for our spare time that we spend on it, as the data, our own private habits that we share along our journey into using these things.
"I finally realized it. People are prisoners of their phones, that's why they are called cell phones."
Thousands and thousands of raw data are being daily collected while we interact with the applications, look, get entertained, have fun, speak, connect with others. From the moment that we wake up until the moment that we go to sleep, we just keep using it for any possible reason. Our concetration levels are being dropped, learning skills are getting weaker and weaker by time, children at an early age show focus issues , while more and more teenagers suffer from anxiety, poor sleep, eyesight problems and mostly lack of personal communication. The new generations have stopped communicating face-to-face, as it's easier to use dating apps, facebook, instagram, snapchat and countless more of them that i don't even know nowdays. Self-confidence has lost it's meaning. The meaning of friendship has also changed.
When was the last time that you hand out with someone and you didn't use your cell phone? Don't try to remember, because it was long time ago.
